In my 20’s I fell in love with the boho knitted muk luks that you can find in most college towns. I wore my first pair until they were literally falling apart. When the day came that no darning would save them, I searched for a crocheted version as crochet is my forte. My search came up dry, so I began work on my own pattern. I have been making these for over 13 years now. I've made and given away countless pairs and now I am making the pattern available so you can do the same. These cozy Tall Muk Luks make wonderful gifts and are so fun to crochet. With today’s fabulous yarn selection, every pair looks like a unique work of art!
This pattern is an Intermediate to Experienced Skill Level. There are unique stitches and assembly. I have included 27 photographs to guide you through the pattern. Crocheted blocks form the base for this pattern. They look like diamonds in the completed muk luks as they are joined at the corners. We’ll be crocheting blocks, building onto them and then assembling our shapes. It’s rather satisfying to see the Tall Muk Luks come together. It can also feel a little confusing, but hang in there, read carefully, study the pictures and all will be well!

This pattern is designed for approximately a women’s size 7-8 with guidelines for making them larger or smaller.
